I know, I had you at “turtle” right? This is one of my basic bar recipes, just made using turtle ingredients. And let me tell you, it lasted all of 3 hours on my counter…
1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups quick oats
1 1/2 cups brown sugar-packed
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups butter-melted
1-12 ounce jar caramel ice cream topping
1-8 ounce bag of Hershey's Milk Chocolate Drops
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and salt...Mix until well combined then add in the butter and continue mixing until it is fully incorporated. Press half the mixture into the pan. Bake for about 19 minutes. Remove from the oven, drizzle with the caramel syrup, then add the Hershey Drops. Finally, crumble the remaining crumbs over the top and continue baking for another 17 minutes.
Cool completely, refrigerate for 2 hours then cut into squares
