Cake Batter Popcorn
I found this recipe somewhere on the blogosphere and stored it in my pea brain. I was using some cake mix for another recipe, so I had some leftover when I remembered this idea. I had to make it up since my pea brain couldn’t remember the ingredient amounts, but it turned out really good! Make sure you have a lot of peeps around to eat it thought, it is highly addictive and it makes a LOT…

Cake Batter Popcorn
Yield: 12 cups
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
18 ounces (1 1/2 cups melted) almond bark
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1 1/2 cups white cake mix
12 cups (2 microwave bags) popcorn-popped
SprinklesDirections:
Melt the almond bark in the microwave according to the package directions until melted. Add the vegetable shortening, stir until melted in. Add in the cake mix and stir until combined. Put the popcorn in a vey large mixing bowl, pour the almond bark over it and using 2 large spoons, mix thoroughly. Pour out onto a baking sheet lined with waxed paper or a silpat sheet. Sprinkle with the sprinkles and let cool. **Be very careful not to eat the whole pan yourself!!













Absolutely love this recipe. My children would be mad for this!
