Pizza Dip
The other night we made homemade pizzas on the grill. Thus ending up with all kinds of topping leftovers. I was perusing one of my favorite blogs-Closet Cooking when I ran across this recipe and since I trust Kevin’s judgement on most things food, I decided to give it a try and use up all those leftovers. I must say that we loved it…

Pizza Dip
Ingredients:
4 ounces cream cheese-softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 cup mixture of and pizza toppings you like
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakesDirections:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, cream together the cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise, oregano and garlic powder. Spread in the bottom of a medium size baking dish (I used an 8 x 5). Spoon the pizza sauce over it, then add your toppings and cover with the mozzarella and crushed red pepper flakes. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly. Serve with baguettes, Fritos or tortilla chips.

How can you go wrong with a dip made from pizza toppings?! I’m a dip kinda gal, but I haven’t had this one in a long time – I must remedy that!
