Dipping Oil for Bread
Some of my favorite foods are the simplest things! I used to save this recipe for company but it’s too good to not eat it more often, now we make it all the time
Dipping Oil for Bread
INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon dried minced garlic
1 tablespoon dried rosemary-crushed
1 tablespoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 tablespoon water
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
1 French baquette
DIRECTIONS:
In a small bowl, combine the first even ingredients and store in an airtight container. For dipping oil, use 1/3 of the dried mix and mix it in a microwave safe dish with 1 tablespoon water. Microwave on high for 15 seconds, stir and drain the remaining water off. Transfer to a shallow dish and mix with the olive oil. Let sit for about 10 minutes before eating, then top with the Parmesan cheese. Tear off pieces of the baguette and dip in the oil.

I can't believe you would use that only for company!! It sounds delish! I would eat it way to often!!
Thanks for posting! We love that stuff.
That looks great. I love dips for my bread! Thanks Anne – another great one!~
p.s. – I made those sugar donut muffins that you posted on my birthday this morning (finally!) I added a spoon scoop of strawberry jam in the middle. I put half the batter in the muffin cups; then put the jelly; then covered the jelly with the remaining batter. They came out great – just a little variation I did. Yummy! I love your recipes!
Looks delicious Anne. I love a good dipping sauce for my bread!
I love this stuff. Every time I go to one of those fancy kitchen stores I always sample all of their flavored oils.
I would like to exchange links with your site http://www.anniebakes.net
Is this possible?
Oh, yum. I wish I had found this last weekend! I did a balsamic/oil dip for guests, but this would have been better!
