Avocado Hummus
Nothing says refreshing summer dip like a good hummus! This summer I have been experimenting with all kinds of different recipes because chickpeas are so good for you and because hummus is SO easy to throw together!
Avocado Hummus
INGREDIENTS:
1 can chickpeas-drained
2 avocados- sliced up
1 lemon-juiced
3-4 teaspoons minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup water
DIRECTIONS:
Place all of the ingredients in a food processor except for the olive oil. Pulse until blended, then start drizzling in the olive oil until it gets to the right consistency. Blend until smooth and serve with pita chips.

Oh we will have to try this…love the change with the avocado!
Oh yay! I'm going to try this one soon especially since i have all the ingredients for it! Woo-hoo! Sounds/looks yummy!
What are you making on Thursday? You need to do some kind of rich dessert or cake since it's my birthday!
Just kidding (sort of!)
Have a great week Anne!
Yum! I love hummus and avocado, can't wait to try them together!
Strangely…I love both chickpeas and avocados separately and never thought of putting them together.
I make hummus alot…therefore, I just may have found a new inspiring twist to this favourite of mine.
Thanks for sharing and flavourful wishes,
Claudia
That looks great! I've never made hummus but I love avodados and chick peas.
Yumm..two of my most favorite things!!
Ok, this sounds delicious! I love your addition of avocado.
I am still totally up for Wednesday. I'm contemplating about starting my Indian series on Wednesday and sharing it over here as well. Will that work for you?
Sounds yummy!! I love avocados!
since i just love both avocados and hummus, this should be perfect! Roz
That hummus looks so good! I love putting avocado in just about everything. Does it not last as long as regular hummus, though?
Thanks for sharing!
I made this over the weekend (twice) and it is so delicious. My husband and I polished off the entire thing in one sitting. Thanks for sharing this!

aah great idea! Everyday we eat hummus spread, avocado topped sandwich for breakfast. But this is something I can try. How long does it stay discolored? I mean if I make it for a week and refrigerate it, will it stay fresh?
