Chicken & Biscuits
Oh my, now this is a meal I can stick my teeth into! I put the chicken and gravy over biscuits, but you could also pour it over noodles or rice. This actually looks really rich, but I used all low-fat ingredients, so take away the biscuits and you have a healthy meal here!
Chicken & Biscuits
INGREDIENTS:
3 tablespoons butter
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts-cubed
salt and pepper-to taste
1/2 pound baby bella mushrooms-sliced
1/2 onion-diced
1 can low sodium cream of mushroom soup
1 cup lite sour cream
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tube Pillsbury Flaky Biscuits
DIRECTIONS:
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Add chicken to the skillet, and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Add mushrooms and onions, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in soup, and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in sour cream, cook for 3 minutes more. Sprinkle in nutmeg and stir. Serve over warm biscuits.

Biscuits and gravy are my favorite meal…I have never had this version. I must try it!
I love chicken and biscuits. I have never made it from scratch though. I usually add a flour/water mixture to leftover chicken noodle soup to make mine. I will have to try it your way because it sounds delicious.
I'm missing gravy for a long time. It looks good and yum too!
