Rice Krispie Squares on Overload

Have you ever just wanted to eat a whole pan of Rice Krispie Squares in one sitting??  If you lived in my house, one pan just wouldn’t get you very far.  So I usually make a larger recipe and then just plop it on a piece of waxed paper and by the time I turn around it is almost gone, no worries about drying out, it never lasts that long!  But if it did, just wrap the whole bit up in plasic wrap and have it as “breakfast bars” in the morning!
Rice Krispie Squares on Overload
INGREDIENTS:
6 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 bags miniature marshmallows
1-12 ounce box Rice Krispies
DIRECTIONS:
In a large stock pot, melt the butter over low heat.  Add the marshmallows and cook until melted over low heat, stirring often.  Add the Rice Krispies.  Stir until well blended and drop onto a large piece of waxed paper.  Eat until your heart’s content…

It's been a long time since I had those. But I recently made a healthier version of rice krispie treats. I used a vegan marshmallow cream that has no corn syrup and I used organic brown rice cereal.

Yeah, I know what you're thinking…. that must've tasted awful! Well, it wasn't very sweet. Thankfully I had some dark chocolate chips on hand and that was just what it needed! Oh wait, maybe my version wasn't "healthy" after all. LOL. :-)
