Hamburger Tator Tot Casserole

I felt like I was in the ’70′s the whole time I was making and writing this recipe. Bring on the Brady Bunch and Alice delivering a big plate of this to the family table!  It’s definately a blast from the past!  OK, so get out your bell bottoms, patent leather go-go boots and get cooking!  This updated version of the original is to die for!

Hamburger Tator Tot Casserole

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 pounds ground beef-browned

1 small onion-chopped**
1 red pepper-chopped
1 1/2 cup frozen corn

2 cans cream of celery soup

1 cup cheddar cheese-shredded
salt and pepper to taste
1 package frozen tator tots

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a large bowl mix the first 6 ingredients.  Put into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish and salt and pepper to taste.  Top with the tator tots (I used mini ones).  Bake for about 1 hour or until tators are golden.  Serve with ketchup.

Tator tots are great alone, even better on a casserole. Tator tots make me feel like I am in elementary school again.

Love your blog layout! Very cute!

    Stoppin' by from SITS!
